Based in the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) (Room 4.204, Colchester Campus), our Academic Skills Advisors are on hand throughout
the summer holiday to help with all aspects of your ongoing academic study.

One-to-one sessions with an Advisor are available throughout July, August and September during LRC opening hours,
Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. Sessions can also be organised for small groups if you'd like to come along with friends.

Are you studying for resits?
Book a session with one of our Advisors for guidance on assignment drafting and editing, as well as revision planning and effective exam strategies.
Are you writing a dissertation?
Book a session with one of our Advisors for guidance on chapter structuring, overcoming writer’s block, referencing, aspects of academic style
or any other aspect of dissertation write-up that is troubling you.
Do you need help to improve your English?
Do you need help from an English language ‘grammar doctor’? Book a session with one of our Advisors for help on any aspect of English language that is worrying you.
Do you want to join an English conversation group?
Our LRC English language mentors run small-group ‘conversation circles’ for international students who would like more chances to use their English
socially over the summer holiday period. For more details, visit the LRC and speak to a member of staff at the front desk.
