Health @ Essex
Welcome
to Health@Essex which showcases why the University of Essex is a major
player nationally and internationally in health-related education,
research and innovation.
Health is a key feature in our
cutting-edge research and we offer a wide range of
health-related courses spanning many Departments, Schools and
Centres across the University.
From research into Alzheimer’s and creating independent living spaces for people with disabilities to advances in the early detection of breast cancer
and a greater insight into autism, the University of Essex’s knowledge in all matters relating to health is far reaching. A key focus of our Health Research is in the areas of Ageing and Assisted Living.
Researchers within our Ageing and Assisted Living Network are working on lifelong health and healthy ageing, age-related disease and assisted living,
developing new tools and technologies which enable the elderly, disabled and those with long-term conditions to live independent lives.
This site has been specially established as a focal point for this wide range of activity, to provide information within the University community and to our external partners, collaborators and stakeholders.
