Introduction to the Pre-Award Team
What the team does
The Pre-award team supports the application process and prepares costing information for external research, knowledge transfer and consultancy applications. This includes:
- Providing information about the internal and external procedures involved in making submissions
- Giving appropriate costing and pricing advice that conforms to funders’ guidelines
- Checking that applications meet the funder’s guidelines and conform to university requirements
- Obtaining the necessary university authorisation.
Where to find the team
The Pre-award team is based in room 3.606 of the Rab Butler building, which is found on square 2 of the Wivenhoe campus.
Who to contact
Contact Jayne Cottee in the first instance with an indication of the sponsor, the grant scheme and the deadline. You will then be allocated to a Research Support Assistant, who will contact you with further information. Let us know if you would like to meet to discuss your application at any stage.
