BBSRC - Professorial Fellowships

The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council offers Professorial Fellowships to support world-class scientists who have:

  • a proven track record of developing new and innovative directions of research; and
  • the potential to use a fellowship to make a distinctive and lasting contribution to UK bioscience.

Up to two fellowships are available for scientists who are already recognised at an international level as outstanding researchers with exceptional research and interpretative achievements. Awards are for a period of five years and provide a significant research support grant to cover the costs of the research programme. Proposals are particularly encouraged in the area of bioenergy research or where a systems biology approach is being proposed to the research programme.

For further information and application details, please visit: http://www.bbsrc.ac.uk/funding/fellowships/professorial.html
