A wide range of funding organisations offer fellowships and awards that enable researchers at various stages of their career to broaden and strengthen their research.

Typically:

  • Early career awards are aimed at outstanding postdoctoral researchers within a few years of having completed their PhD, who do not hold a permanent academic position.
  • Mid-career awards and advanced awards are aimed at researchers with several years’ experience who hold a permanent academic position.

Please contact your Research and Enterprise Manager to discuss appropriate opportunities.
