Haven Gateway Partnership see the benefits of Postgraduate Consultancy

The University of Essex has recently launched a postgraduate consultancy service for businesses in the region. This service enables companies to access expertise from our pool of postgraduate students to work on short projects. Postgraduates currently signed up to the service come from a wide range of academic disciplines and are keen to develop their skills by applying their knowledge in the business environment.
Recently the Haven Gateway Partnership engaged a student of Economics to provide a precise and concise description of the sub-region’s key economic features and sectoral strengths. This work will identify, analyse and present the most recent macro-economic data to create a unique resource. This will enable the HGP to communicate to all of its stakeholders the significance of this important economic area and provide a powerful evidence base to support future funding applications which if successful will benefit the entire community.
Steve Clarke, Director of the Haven Gateway Partnership said of the initiative “We had accumulated a great deal of economic data and more was arriving by the day so maintaining a clear focus on the key issues was becoming more difficult. Having access to a very able Economics Student who will have the time and skill set to review of all this data and provide us with fresh insights into its meaning is going to be immensely helpful in refocusing us on the most important issues.”
