Essex County Council and the University of Essex are working in partnership with GrowthAccelerator and Hethel Engineering Centre to deliver a Growth and Innovation seminar aimed at Essex-based innovative businesses with the aim and potential for economic growth and development. It will be providing an opportunity to discuss the key characteristics and drivers of successful business innovation by business growth experts and first hand case studies of a local business Olympus KeyMed, as well as opportunities to network with likeminded business people.

After the Gold Rush: The Impact of the Olympics on the economy of the East of England

We are delighted to invite you to join us for a FREE unique breakfast event which will consider the effect of the Olympics on the region's economy. The short and longer-term implications will be explored, as well as the benefits to the UK 'brand', the effect upon business confidence and productivity, the use of volunteers as well as the Army to deliver services, and the potential impact on Whitehall and upcoming elections.

Hosted by our Departments of Economics and Government, during this event you will hear from leading experts on these topics. There will be a roundtable discussion along with the opportunity for you to put your questions to the speakers and join in the debate.
