What are the implications of the budget announcement? How will this affect the political landscape? Join us for a unique post-budget event that will consider the implications of the latest budget for businesses, for individuals and for party politics.

Bringing together commentary from differing academic disciplines, this event will give you the opportunity to hear from leading experts and to put your questions to the speakers.

- Welcome and introduction: Professor Michael Sherer.
- Analysis and comment following the Chancellor's speech: Professor Mike Brewer of the Institute of Social and Economic Research and Research Fellow, Institute for Fiscal Studies.
- The political implications and responses from Westminster: Professor Paul Whiteley from the Department of Government.
