Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR)

The Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR) gives everyone the right to ask for environmental information held by public authorities, which includes Universities. There are some exceptions allowed, which means under certain limited circumstances the university can refuse to release information it is asked for.

When you ask us for information we have 20 working days to reply.

The rules for (EIR) are very similar to those for FOIA. The key difference is that (EIR) covers anything that might affect the environment.
