Training
The Governance Office provides training for all staff across the
University on all aspects of records management, Data Protection, Freedom of
Information and the Environmental Information Regulations.
The Information
Manager contributes to the quarterly New Staff Induction Day with a
short slot on the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts. She runs
one two-hour session each term on Data Protection and Freedom of Information
issues. The popular Feng Shui your Office the Records Management Way is an
interactive session designed to help all staff organise their records
better. More details of both these course on the
Learning and Development
page.
The Information Manager is always happy to offer individual tailored
sessions to suit Departments and Sections. Sessions can cover a range of
issues from marketing regulations, information sharing or information
security to the
Data Protection Act 1998, the
Freedom
of Information Act 2000, or general records management issues, and can
be directed at staff and students at all levels and in all parts of the
University. The sessions are designed to be as interactive as possible to
enable specific problems and issues to be discussed.
