Where
a proposed course or award represents substantively new material, departments
are encouraged to request a market research report from External Relations.
Ideally, the market research report should be requested during the preliminary
planning period rather than once the formal course approval stages have
commenced, in order that any conclusions from the report can be considered by
the department and the design of the new course be enhanced as appropriate.
Where a market research
report has been provided by External Relations it should be
appended to the Part 1 approval proforma.
