Documentation

 

PERIODIC REVIEW DOCUMENTATION: Undergraduate Reviews

The department should provide 6 or 7 copies (depending on the number of external experts involved) to the Academic Standards and Partnerships Office (ASPO) no later than 2 weeks before the Periodic Review event. 

Copying costs are paid for by the ASPO - please complete the appropriate requisition form.

1.  Reflective document prepared by Head of Department (or nominee). This should highlight major developments since the last Periodic Review/during the last five years.

      The reflective document should be produced in line with the University proforma for Undergraduate reviews.

2.  Annual Monitoring Reports

The last 3 years Annual Monitoring Reports (where available)

NB The Panel may request earlier copies of Annual Monitoring Reports to assist their investigations 

3.  A Programme Specification for each of the courses under review including module map (where not already provided as part of the Annual Monitoring Reports) 

4.  Last internal review report (last periodic review report) accompanied by a summary by Department of follow-up action taken (where this is not included within Annual Monitoring reports or as part of the reflective document).

5.  Most recent External Examiners Reports including departmental responses and any relevant   Committee minutes 

Only where this is not included within the Annual Monitoring Report.

 6.  Current relevant QAA benchmark statement(s) 

 7.  Professional Statutory Body Reports and departmental response

 8.  Statistics (as provided by the University Planning Officer)

 9.  Summary of SSS and NSS results and departmental action taken in response

In addition, the following should be provided for the external expert(s) and the chair:

 11.  Syllabus information
