Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Sustainability and Resources)

Professor Jules Pretty, PVCProfessor Jules Pretty was appointed Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Sustainability and Resources) in 2010.

Key roles:

Professor Pretty is one of five Pro-Vice-Chancellors who deputise for the Vice-Chancellor and support the Vice-Chancellor in strategic planning and management.

As Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Sustainability and Resources), Professor Pretty is responsible for sustainability, student recruitment targets, estates-related issues, equipment for research and teaching, space allocation, timetabling, health and safety, and transport policy.

Professor Pretty is link Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Communications and External Relations; Estate Management; Human Resources; and Strategic Planning and Change.

Together with the Vice-Chancellor, Registrar and Secretary, the Director of Finance, and the Director of Communications and External Relations, the five Pro-Vice-Chancellors constitute the University's senior management team, the University Steering Group (USG).
