Professor
David Sanders was appointed Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research and Enterprise) in
August 2011. He is also responsible for the Faculty of Social Sciences. He
was previously Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research) from 1997 to 2001.
Key roles:
Professor Sanders reports directly to the Vice-Chancellor. As
Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research and Enterprise) Professor Sanders is
responsible for all aspects of the University's policy and strategy on
research, knowledge exchange and enterprise. This involves working closely
with the Director of the Research and
Enterprise Office Dr Janice Pittis.
In addition to this cross-cutting Pro-Vice-Chancellor role, he also
oversees the Faculty of Social Sciences
and is responsible for the Faculty's academic and financial performance.
Together with the Vice-Chancellor, Registrar and Secretary, the Director
of Finance, and the Director of Communications and External Relations, the
five Pro-Vice-Chancellors constitute the University's senior management
team, the University Steering Group (USG).
