BIOGRAPHY

Following an undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Sheffield (1995-1998), Kevin completed his PhD on visuo-spatial short-term memory at the University of Lancaster. He then worked as Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham (2003-2011) before joining the Department of Psychology at Essex as Lecturer in 2011.

RESEARCH OVERVIEW

Kevin has broad interests in visual cognition. His current primary focus is on understanding basic mechanisms of visuo-spatial attention. He is also interested in visuo-spatial short-term memory, and the effects of experience on object and word processing.
