Preparing for University Psychology (PS116)

PS116-4-FY: Preparing for University Psychology

The module is co-ordinated by Dr Steffan Kennett to whom queries should be addressed.

This module focusses on the skills and techniques that will help you get the most from studying Psychology at University level. University work gives students much more responsibility for their outcomes. As such, many of you will need to adapt your approach to classes, work in your own time, preparing for tests and exams and completing coursework. We have identified key areas that many students find challenging, but which are a central part of successful students' approach. Because this module aims to help your whole degree, most of its classes take place in the first two teaching weeks in October. Additionally, there is an extra session towards the end of the Spring term, designed to help with revision for exams.

The module employs a variety of teaching modes (Lectures, labs, small group tasks) and will be taught by Dr Steffan Kennett, Dr Silke Paulmann, Dr Tim Rakow, Dr Mitch Callan, Dr Nicolas Geeraert, Dr Geoff Cole, Dr Nick Cooper and Prof Debi Roberson.
