We focus on providing you with the skills and experience that you need in the graduate job market. Our courses are designed to enable you to enter a wide variety of careers and our graduates have gone on to work for several well-known employers.

We are a dynamic and research-orientated department with an international reputation for the high quality of our work in psychology and cognitive neuroscience. More than half of our research was rated as either world-leading or internationally excellent in the most recent Research Assessment Exercise (RAE, December 2008).

Our modern, purpose-built facilities and laboratories help create a stimulating research-focussed environment, which feeds into our undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. Our research strengths cover cognition, mental health, neuropsychology, sensory perception, social and health psychology, and affective and cognitive neuroscience.
