Inquiry: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Philosophy

The Department houses the editorial offices of Inquiry: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Philosophy. Inquiry is an established, international academic journal, and publishes in all areas of philosophy. It has made its most distinctive mark in fostering exchange across the various internal boundaries and barriers that characterized philosophy over the past century. The journal has been a significant force in breaking down the distinction between so-called 'analytic' and 'continental' philosophy; it seeks to connect the history of philosophy with its current practice; it has been a venue for cross fertilization between philosophy and the social sciences; and it seeks connections between fundamental philosophical issues and contemporary cultural developments.

Sample Contributors: Stanley Cavell (first published in Inquiry), Jürgen Habermas (first published in English in Inquiry), Richard Rorty, Charles Taylor, Donald Davidson, W.V.O.
