Philosophy at Essex
At the graduate level, there is commitment to variety and a breadth of
approach in the various MA and research degrees available, and the Department
prides itself on its intensive teaching and supervision. The foundation of this
diversity lies in the variety and breadth of the research interests of members
of the Department (see the Staff Profiles section for more information), and in
collaboration with other departments within the University. The Department
welcomes students whose intellectual interests cut across conventional academic
boundaries, whether at the undergraduate, the MA or the research level.
