The University of Essex Philosophy Department will be hosting a series of brief thought provoking public presentations followed by discussion in a relaxed and friendly cafe atmosphere. These presentations will be given by members of the Philosophy staff and will address a wide range of issues regarding the ways we think and live. Meetings will run from 6.30 to 8pm. Attendance is free and refreshments are provided. No preliminary knowledge of philosophy is required, and it is hoped that everyone in the audience will ask questions and take part in the discussion, so that the event will be a valuable experience for speakers and attendees alike.
