15 April 2013: Philosophy Crash Course on German Romanticism

A Philosophy Crash Course in German Romanticism is taking place over three days at the University of Essex from the 23-25 April. Speakers include Professor Béatrice Han-Pile, Professor Peter Dews and Dr David McNeill.


  • Tuesday 23 April, 17.00-19.00, Béatrice Han-Pile, "Some themes of Jena romanticism: poetry, fragmentation and self criticism"
  • Wednesday 24 April, 17.00-19.00, Professor Peter Dews, "Schelling on human freedom"
  • Thursday 25 April, 17.00-19.00, Dr David McNeill, "Nietzsche and the early Romantics"

All sessions take place in the Teaching Centre, room TC.10.
