Professional Development Network Education & Social Care

The Professional Development team is committed to high quality delivery and support. We are involved with our own professional updating and undertake professional and/or academic qualifications and research. The team reflects a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences including non-traditional entry into teaching and training and varied personal and academic histories. The majority of staff maintain an active involvement in their profession and in their specialist areas and most are current practitioners with experience of teaching and training at both Higher Education level and with professional colleagues.

The Professional Development Studies team works closely with organisations to develop high quality accredited and non-accredited Professional Development programmes that are responsive and specific to their needs.  PDS is flexible and contemporary in approach; we are developing an e-Professional Development Network to ensure organisations have access to current research carried out through Continuing Professional Development activities and are we are actively involved in partnerships with other training providers and professional bodies to deliver innovative and creative local, regional and national provision
