SERVICES TO BUSINESS
Ethos and Practice
In Professional Development
Studies we work very closely with both organisations and national bodies to
develop relevant and current courses and qualifications. We actively engage with
continual updating of the programmes through the creation of Quality Management
and Development
Groups (QMDG)for each programme. The QMDG are primarily focused
on the professional elements of the programme and in maintaining and improving
the quality of the provision. The membership of a QMDG represents local
organisations, lead professionals, students and senior managers. The QDG
overviews: students work; evaluations and feedback; the structure and content of
the programme; the relevance of the content and delivery to the profession, the
professional and to the workplace; embedding professional awards and standards
within the programme.
Bespoke Training
We work closely with an organisation to
identify, as accurately and effectively as possible, the needs and aspirations
the organisation has for its employees. We have a number of highly
experienced staff as part of the team of Associates and will recruit experts as
required. While we work flexibly we aim to provide support and structure
to the training opportunities to ensure the organisations' ambitions are
reflected in our provision.
Accredited courses for
organisations
We are increasingly experienced in providing
development programmes for organisations that will also provide accredited
qualifications for the employees. Recent examples include developing and
writing a Masters level programme for an organisation undergoing rapid expansion
and development. We have constructed a programme to develop leadership
potential amongst middle managers based on mentoring and coaching skills.
The values of the organisation are full embedded into the programme and the
qualification and members of the organisation are taking part in the delivery of
the programme.
Accrediting training already
being delivered
We are currently working with two organisations
to support training programmes they already have in place which are effectively
delivering the skills and knowledge required in the workplace. However,
the programmes were non-accredited. We are working alongside the
organisations to provide opportunities for those employees who are interested to
take qualifications utilising the training programme they are already on.
Supporting staff on accredited
and non-accredited training
We provide face-to-face tutorial support, e-tutorial support, telephone contact,
flexible workshops, coaching and other support as required to ensure the success
of the learners/students who undertake our provision.
