Quality assurance of provision at University Campus Suffolk
Quality assurance procedures
The Validation Handbook for University Campus
Suffolk (pdf*) provides guidance on the joint University of East Anglia and
University of Essex procedures for the validation, monitoring and review of
collaborative provision within University Campus Suffolk (UCS).
The handbook is intended to provide help and information to University of
East Anglia and University of Essex staff with responsibility for validating and
reviewing provision within UCS, and to UCS staff or prospective UCS institutions
who are involved in these processes.
University Campus Suffolk Joint Academic Committee
The quality and academic standards of provision delivered at University
Campus Suffolk is the responsibility of the UCS Joint Academic Committee, which
is a joint sub-committee of the Senates of the University of East Anglia and the
University of Essex.
The committee is jointly chaired by the Director of Partnerships at the
University of East Anglia and the Dean of Academic Partnerships at the
University of Essex, and its membership includes representation from UCS Ipswich
and each UCS Learning Network Centre.
Further information on the role and membership of the UCS Joint Academic
Committee and copies of agendas and minutes are available on the University’s
