Overseas Students
If your normal home is outside
the European Union, then you are likely to be an 'overseas' student'. You may
wish to look at the Information
for International students page which contains information about
entry requirements, how to apply and course fees.
General information can be found on the
undergraduate pages
with similar information on the
postgraduate pages for
postgraduate applicants. Please contact us if
you can't find the information you need on the website.
The University of Essex is proud
to be one of the most diverse University communities in the UK, with students
coming from over 130 different countries to study. This success in
attracting international students resulted in an Award for Enterprise in 2005
from Her Majesty the Queen, seen here talking to overseas students at the
University.
- Promoting the University in
countries outside the European Union
- Being the principal point of
contact between the University and educational counselling organisations,
whether British Council or private-sector agencies (agencies should refer to
the prospective agencies
page).
- Advising departments on
admission standards and overseas promotion
- Attending education exhibitions in non-EU
countries and occasionally holding interviews and counselling sessions
- Handling enquiries and applications for the University's
pre-degree Bridging Year.
