About the Health and Safety Advisory Service and Occupational Health Service
The Health and Safety Advisory Service and Occupational Health Service are based within Human Resources providing advice, guidance and support on health and safety and occupational health matters, thereby ensuring that the University is a safe and healthy place to work, study or visit.
The Health and Safety Advisory Service provides health and safety advice, guidance and information to members of staff on a range of issues which include: fire, radiation, biological hazards, safe working methods, risk assessments, and changes in health and safety legislation. We also deliver relevant health and safety training and develop Policies, Codes of Practice as well as Local Rules and Guidance to assist the University community in meeting their safety obligations.
