Restoration drama at National Portrait Gallery

Enter a Gentleman cast, copyright Gemma Mount

Graduates of East 15 Acting School have collaborated with Dr Elizabeth Kuti of the Department of Literature, Film, and Theatre Studies to bring to life her latest play commissioned by the National Portrait Gallery.

Enter a Gentleman is a one-act play play based around the life of Aphra Behn, the 17th Century dramatist and novelist. It was premiered at a conference organised by the gallery, in partnership with The Open University, as part of its acclaimed exhibition The First Actresses.

Directed by Professor Leon Rubin, Director of East 15 Acting School, the cast of four consisted of East 15 MA Acting graduates, Georgia Buchanan, Helen Matravers, Edward Walters and Marco Pertucco.
