This software program is an electronic guide to essay writing and general English language construction. It may look a bit dated, but it still has some very useful sections, with a good index on the left side of the screen which can be used to find the answer to a problem you may have, or the definition/explanation of a term or phrase, for example 'capital letters' or 'line referencing'.

However, be sure to avoid the sample essays at the bottom of the index: these are pitched at many different levels and are not specific to higher education.
