The module will provide students with opportunities to reflect and decide upon their career aspirations, help them identify the steps required to reach those goals, and introduce them to opportunities and resources that will help them to complete these steps.
The aim of this module is:
- To improve the employability of Psychology students.
By the end of this module, students will be expected to be able to:
- Create and reflect upon and update their career action plan.
- Learn about a range of jobs and postgraduate opportunities open to them, both within the psychology professions and in other areas.
- Learn how to research jobs/courses that interest them and to mount effective applications using appropriate resources.

Lectures and workshops are run and administered collaboratively by staff from the Department of Psychology and the Employability and Careers Centre, with input from the Faculty Employability Co-ordinator and speakers from outside the University, as well as activities that students complete in their own time.
