Module Description
The module focuses on the linguistic differentiation of women and men. We review the findings of sociolinguistic research in this area and critically examine the sociolinguistic explanations of sex differences in linguistic behaviour and language use. The module also covers the repercussions of these findings on sociolinguistic theory, methodology, and analytical practices.
