Neutral mask
Western styles of mask work
Introduction to masks from non-Western cultures
Creation of solo and ensemble performances
Module Aims
To introduce the students to neutral and character masks.
To create solo mask performance.
To creation ensemble mask performance.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this module the student should be able to:
* Perform using basic mask work
* Work with a high degree of creativity, confidence and trust in rehearsal
* Demonstrate an ability to reflect on responses to different styles of mask
work
* Shape a mask performance arising from character and situation

100 per cent Coursework Mark
Coursework:
Continuous assessment through classwork and rehearsal 50%
