Module description

This module develops students' holistic intervention skills for a range of patient presentations. The module will focus on the common approaches to physiotherapy led intervention, whilst highlighting the variations required when managing different patient groups

Module aims

To develop holistic intervention skills for a range of patient presentations.
To facilitate the learning of the common approaches to physiotherapy led intervention andhighlight the variations required when managing different patient groups

Module learning outcomes

On successful completion of this module, the student will be able to:

1. Critically discuss an evidence informed approach to individual and/or group based physio led interventions.
2. Critically analyse and evaluate the evidence underpinning your rationale behind clinical decision making.
3. Critically explore the scope of physiotherapy practice in relation to that of the wider MDT.
4. Undertake an analysis of patient led management in relation to biopsychosocial aspects for improving clinical outcomes.
