Learning and teaching methods

Learning and teaching on this module utilises many different approaches. Firstly, classroom based interactive lectures that focus on learning new information, developing an awareness of constructs and concepts and the development of an understanding of the language used in research. Secondly, an experiential approach which encourages interprofessional collaboration through the use of project design and data gathering. Thirdly, tutorial sessions allowing learners to 'test out' their thinking prior to committing themselves to producing the small reports required for the assessment. Lastly, self-directed learning which allows learners to; access the resources on the virtual learning environment, access the library and develop a collaborative approach to learning in small groups.
