The PS934 Psychology Research Project is a research dissertation with a maximum of 10,000 words, written up as a research report. The dissertation reports the results of an original psychological research study carried out under the supervision of a staff member. There are a wide variety of topics that you can opt to research. A good research report looks like an psychology study reported in a peer-reviewed journal (e.g., Cognitive Neuropsychology, Quarterly Journal of Experimental Psychology). Thus its organisation should follow the standard format of the articles in such journals. It is a time-consuming task to collect data and write a good research report, so allow yourself plenty of time for this important piece of work.
More extensive details of PS934 appear at the back of the handbook (Appendix C), together with advice on writing up a research project (Appendix D).
