Module description

To review standard practices for writing assignments and dissertations in the discipline of Applied Linguistics and TESOL.

Module aims

• to familiarise you with the standard practices of writing assignments and dissertations in the discipline of Applied Linguistics/TESOL
• to provide practice in conforming to these conventions
• to raise awareness of practices that will result in lower marks and / or constitute an academic offence (e.g. plagiarism, incorrect referencing, derivative writing, irrelevance, unsubstantiated argumentation).

Module learning outcomes
