In this student-led module, students will work independently to create the designs for a theatre production. The design elements could focus on either set, costume, or lights, or a combination of two or three of these elements in negotiation with the tutor/Head of Course at the beginning of the year.
Firstly, the student will outline the directorial vision of the project, working from a text of their choosing. Alternatively, the student may choose to work with a director, who will provide the vision and criteria that the student must work towards. Whichever path they chose, they will then have to create a design that fits the vision for the production, for a specified venue or a proposed tour.

Students should meet with their project supervisor once a fortnight for at least 1 hour.
