BA W494 Acting and Physical Theatre
Exploration of processes for devising, rehearsal and performance of narrative through physical techniques.
Exploration of processes for devising, rehearsal and performance of narrative through vocal techniques.
Analysis of narrative structure.
Analysis of text.
Exploration of single narrative using multiple approaches.
Performance of a story using combined techniques.
To introduce the student to appropriate techniques for creating narrative.

On completion of this module the student should be able to:
- Understand the techniques of the actor for narrative performance and audience interaction
- Realise the role of the actor in ensemble communication
- Reflect on skills related to creative performance technique
- Create a narrative in written form
Assessment
- Continuous assessment through classwork, rehearsal and studio performances
- 1500 word written assignment in the form of an original narrative or story
- Compliance with the Professional Code of Conduct
