Module Description

In this module we explore the characteristics of international financial markets and their role in affecting international investment decisions. In particular, the analysis of the main features of foreign exchange (FX) markets is carried out in detail in the first part of the module. Then, in the second part of the module, the design of optimum international portfolios of securities (equities) in an uncertain environment is discussed. This analysis is extended to cover both strategic and tactical allocation concepts and a brief introduction of FX risk management.
