This module, covering the full year of your MA, involves producing an exhibition in the university's Art Exchange gallery which will open in May.
You will work as part of a curatorial group with other students on the module to produce the entire exhibition. You will collectively decide on an exhibition theme or topic, research and identify objects or artworks, budget the exhibition and arrange transportation, exhibition design, advertising and marketing, produce a catalogue, and organise an accompanying program of educational events for students, schoolchildren and the local community.
The aim of this module is:
- To gain and develop specific curatorial skills and working experience.
By the end of this module, students will be expected to:
- Have developed specific curatorial skills.
- Have gained familiarity with exhibition practices.
