This is the new magazine of the University of Essex Department of Mathematical Sciences. We aim to produce a new version every four months or so. It is aimed primarily at our former students (undergraduate and postgraduate), though current students and others may also get something from it. It aims to provide past students with news about their contemporaries, news about the Department and even news about developments in Mathematics. There will even be some Mathematics problems for you to think about! News about what you are up to may be sent to the Editor, Dr David Penman.
