Advertising
All University of Essex advertisements are produced centrally, so
that our style and identity is consistent.
Advertising Process
If you are interested in placing an advertisement to promote courses, events or facilities available at
the University, please ensure you follow the process outlined below:
-
Contact
Sarah Nicholls, Marketing Officer, who can provide advice
on
placing adverts in appropriate
publications/websites
-
The relevant organisations will then
be approached, and
through the advertising agency
a price negotiated (by doing this centrally it enables
us to negotiate better rates)
-
Supply the text, contact details, any images/photographs and the
relevant cost code
-
The Marketing Officer will then liaise with
the advertising
agency to ensure the
advert is set into our strict visual identity style
-
A
proof of the advert will be provided for approval
-
The approved advert
will then be placed
Please download and complete a
briefing form if you are
interested in placing an advert.
Completed forms should be sent to
Sarah Nicholls, Marketing Officer (ext
4310, e-mail ads@essex.ac.uk).
When wishing to place an advert it is important to plan as far ahead as
possible as this may result in better rates.
Please note, if
amendments are required they will be free of charge for the first
amended proof. After this, amendments will be charged. Cancellation after artwork
has been produced will be charged at the full production fee. If
artwork has been amended more than once and an advert is cancelled
then the charge will be for the initial production charge and the
further amendments.
The Marketing Officer will also advise staff of any special
offers on advertising rates which may be worth taking
advantage of.
