Finding funding for research is very challenging so
it’s important to make full use of the resources available to you here at
the University.
In this session we will explain the role of the Research and Enterprise
Office where dedicated staff - Funding Development Managers - can advise and
assist you at every stage of finding research funding. There are also
Business Development Managers, and other specialist staff, to assist with
preparing costings, making funding applications, Intellectual Property,
Commercialisation and Knowledge Transfer issues.
The session will also cover online search tools:
• All University staff have access to ResearchResearch an excellent online
system for identifying research funding opportunities and setting up
automatic alerts. We will explain how to register and get the most out of
this resource.
• Grantfinder is another useful resource available to staff at the
University. We will explain how this differs from, and complements,
ResearchResearch, and how to access and make the best use of it.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions and to book individual
follow-up appointments for tailored advice and support.
