Loyalty Discounts

Terms and conditions for our Alumni Loyalty Discount

  1. The discount is awarded to:
    • holders of University of Essex Bachelors degrees that are registering for their first postgraduate study period at Essex on or after October 2011, either for an eligible postgraduate taught course or a research degree, following completion of their Bachelors and who are self funding all of their tuition fee.
    • holders of University of Essex Masters degrees that are registering for a second Masters degree at Essex, following completion of their Masters and who are self funding all of their tuition fee.
  2. Eligible courses and research degrees for category (a) above are those which are full-time or part-time programmes leading to the degree of MA, MSc, MBA, LLM, MFA, MAPH, MPEM, MRes, MAD, MSD, MPhil or PhD. Graduate and Postgraduate Diplomas and Certificates, further exchange study, modern language modules, credit accumulation study, professional development modules are excluded from this discount. Eligible courses and research degrees for category (b) above are full-time or part-time programmes leading to the degree of MA, MSc, MBA, LLM, MFA, MAPH, MPEM and MRes.
  3. The discount will be applied at the point of confirmation, by the Graduate Admissions Office, and represent a ten per cent reduction on the annual tuition fee for the first year of full-time study, or first two years of part-time study, only.
  4. The discount should not be awarded in combination with other discounts so, if a student is eligible for a loyalty discount and other discounts, only the greater is given. Holders of Essex Scholarships, Essex Silberrad Scholarships, Santander Scholarships or any award which involves the payment of tuition fees by a third party are not eligible for the loyalty discount as they are not self-funding the whole tuition fee.
