Where is it?
The Spicer Library is in room 3.115. This page attempts to help you find it
without too much trouble. No, really!
Route one
The volunteers have provided a map of how to
find the Spicer Library from Square 4. Use entrance 4NW, which is between the
Post Office and the campus shop. You are on Level 5. Using the staircase ahead
and to the left of you, go downstairs to Level 3. Turn left (so the Post Room is
behind you) and go along the corridor, past Computer Lab D on your left. The
corridor bends slightly to the left; after it has straightened itself out, the
Spicer Library is on your right.
Route two
- Start on Level 4 in the corridor outside the "social space" and office
of the Department of Language and Linguistics, with those two rooms on the
left and the notice board on the right. [View

- Go straight ahead until you reach a corner. Just around the corner on
the left is the entrance to a staircase. [View

- Go down one floor to Level 3. (This can be a bit dark and scary. You may
wish to take a friend.) [View Picture]
- At the bottom is another doorway. [View

- Go through this doorway and turn left. [View

- Then turn right. There's a long corridor ahead. [View

- This corridor has an intriguing bend in it. (An exciting change from the
spartan grid of the rest of the building.) [View

- Amazing -- a second little bend! [View Picture]
- Once we've turned around the little bend, we see a little garden ahead
and to our right. (The door to this is locked, but as you are meant to be
working, it doesn't matter!) [View Picture]
- So instead of turning right into the garden, we turn left. And straight
ahead is the Spicer Library. [View Picture]
Finally arrived? Good. Now it's time to sit down and relax with a
book.
