University of Essex Scholarships

The Department is pleased to announce that once again this year money is available for scholarships.

This year three of our PhD students and one MA student are already receiving support in varying courses from the part of the University of Essex Scholarship fund that the Department of Language and Linguistics administers.

The main conditions for receiving a Scholarship are:

• They are only available to people about to start a PhD or MA in the academic year starting October 2011.
• They are open alike to UK, EU and overseas applicants.
• They cover (in whole or part) fees and/or subsistence costs, for up to four years.
• Applicants must ALSO apply to some public body for funding if they are eligible to. Click here for more information about funding.
