Jack Hill

BiographyJack Hill came to Essex in 1967. His research interests include the relation between literature and art, especially in the seventeenth century, Latin poetry (both of Roman and of later periods), comparative literature of the Renaissance, and the art of translating poetry. He has published work on baroque poetry (with Enrique Caracciolo-Trejo) and Shakespeare, and translations form French, Italian and Spanish poets of the seventeenth, nineteenth and twentieth centuries, as well as poetry of his own.
