Myth Reading Group

The Myth Reading Group is an informal gathering of students and staff which meets at 5pm every Tuesday in term time, for about an hour, to discuss any aspect of myth that interests the group.

The standard format involves a short presentation on the theme of the evening followed by an open discussion. No topic is off limits: topics to date have included the underworld, homecomings, Bhagavad Gita, Gilgamesh, Beowulf, the horse, the wave, devils, snakes, and a month-long series on the tree of life.

Everyone interested in myth is welcome to attend. Essex users can join the email mailing list by clicking the "Join" button on the subscription page. For more information contact Ben Pestell (email bwpest - non Essex users should add @essex.ac.uk).
