 “Why should you join the Choir?  Well, if you’ve had any amount of choir experience at all you’ll soon see why.  The University Choir isn’t just a University Choir – it’s as close to a professional choir as you can get.  The experience of singing as part of such a powerful group along with a complete symphony orchestra is awesome to say the least.  As a result, your singing will improve dramatically, especially with your confidence level."

"Of course, there’s also the social side – like all societies you’ll make good friends amongst your colleagues, sharing a similar interest opens many areas of conversation.  Ultimately, I’ve enjoyed my first year in the Choir, and you can’t ask for more than that!”

 “The Thursday rehearsals, combining total concentration with moments of light relief, are the best way I’ve found of taking my mind off my studies (particularly helpful as exams draw near), and the experience of performing with some fantastic orchestras and soloists in some wonderful venues (especially Snape Maltings) has always been amazing.”
