Joining the choir

 

Applications from potential new members are welcome. To join the Choir you do not need to be a member of the University. Further details may be obtained from our membership secretary, Lesley Orrock (lesleyorrock[at]me.com)

The Choir rehearses on Thursdays in term time only. There are at least ten rehearsals a term in preparation for a concert.  The rehearsals take place in the Lecture Theatre Building 6/7 on campus, and are from 7.00-9.30 pm. 

To become a member of the choir  you will need to do  a simple voice test,  which can be arranged with the Membership Secretary (see below).

The Choir performs  two concerts a year, and sometimes three depending on funding.   The main venues for our concerts are:
Charter Hall (Colchester),  Snape Maltings Concert Hall (Aldeburgh), Norwich Cathedral, St Edmundsbury Cathedral (Bury St Edmunds) and Chelmsford Cathedral.
