Employability
Employability and the Employability Action Group (EAG)
Employability is something that the University takes very seriously. In
addition to the activities that go on in academic departments and the range of
events and services provided by the
Careers Centre, the University has
an action group for employability. Members are drawn from the Careers Centre,
Learning and Development, the Research and Enterprise Office, the Students'
Union, Study Abroad, and the Deans of Faculty. The principal role of the EAG is
to ensure that the University's many employability providers and activities are
well coordinated. Since 2010, this has been done under the University brand "Big
e". Visit the Big e
website for more information. The EAG also ensures that employability
remains high on the institutional agenda. The University's Employability
Consultant Liz Warr is currently the Chair of the EAG. Contact
Liz
to discuss the group or get involved.
